UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
UTP is the standard for 90% of office and home networks. It is flexible, cost-effective, and relies on the "twist" of the internal wire pairs to cancel out noise. For standard digital tasks, Cat6 UTP is our go-to recommendation.
STP (Shielded Twisted Pair)
STP cables contain an internal foil shield. This is critical in industrial environments, warehouses with heavy machinery, or when cables must run near high-voltage lines. Without this shielding, your data can be corrupted by Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
Using the wrong cable type in a high-interference area leads to intermittent network failure. Network Cabling Elite ensures the right shielding is used for your specific environment to prevent future downtime.
